How to Cope with Sudden Change

Any change can be scary but sudden change can turn our lives upside down as COVID-19 had demonstrated.

External changes such as an accident, heart attack, stroke, the loss of a loved one, or the diagnosis of a serious illness all have the ability to dramatically disrupt our lives.

Monday, June 14, 1965. Paul McCartney recorded the famous song 'Yesterday', all my troubles seemed so far away...

But has longing for yesterday actually changed anything for you?

When external change happens, there is no way out. We must deal with what has changed because we can't change it. It is fruitless to spend our days longing for yesterday because what has happened can't be changed or undone.

This is the first critical step in coping with change is acceptance and ending.  Understanding and accepting what has changed and be prepared to let go of what is no longer possible.

What we can control is how we respond to the change in our world. And that is what this video is about.
